9-string guitar? Sweet.

Jule, I haven't been to your page for a while, but I just visited to see what changes you've made recently, and I had to laugh... BTB (Before TB) it was a fun read but low on tech... (aka: plug it into your amp, it will sound great) to now, Input sensitivities, output voltages, etc.

Do you ever feel like life was much more simple before you found us? :crying:

This weekend I was able to run my Mesa 4/12 and 2/15 cabs 2ohms out of Monique and CrownXTI combo. Sounded even better at 2ohm's. Wish I was able to run this setup all the time. It was very close to how my 400+ sounds but Monique has a little more compressed sound and the 400+ is thicker on the bottom end.

It's still simple. She just has to sound and play great. And it is still wonderful fun.

I have enjoyed almost every suggestion as to what more Monique might bring to the performance.

The above exception refers to a suggestion (early this week) to have a software "model" of Monique developed so as to "take advantage of her popularity." :p

Hey Jule, another accessory question...you had mentioned a while back that someone (?) was working on a case for the Dovecage that will hold the Dovecage as well as a Minnie D. Is that still something that may come to fruition? Sorry for the questions lately, just planning out my next purchase. :D

Yes. Still in the plans. Running a bit behind right now, so I have neglected this project until I can get caught up. It will happen.

Many of you may laugh your asses off, but I posted in the last thread that the carrying case from a certain Philips CPAP machine fits the Dove Cage perfectly. :D It also looks good, doesn't have logos or text plastered on the outside, etc. it is just a soft travel case. I have taken it to dozens of gigs and nobody thought is was anything other that a case made for the Pre.

May seem a bit (lot) weird, but anyone looking for a cheap soft case ($46.95) for Monique, this is a good deal, is well made and fits great.:spit::D

Well, I love technology, but there are some things that just ain't natural. This is one of those. ;) besides, you'd have to have it come in both rack and cage versions then you'd have to model plug-ins for each tube type in each position. :spit:

And I broke down and bought a couple new tubes for my Monique. I have an RCA 6SL7 WGT and a brown base/clear glass Tung Sol coming. I haven't tried a Tung Sol that hasn't been noisy/microphonic so that should be interesting and I hope that the RCA can replace what I loved about the Blackplate JAN/NOS I had last year.

Both from http://www.vacuumtubes.net/ after some praise from Chadds. They were very easy to deal with and had fast responses to my questions.
