I had a chat with Jule tonight (I always love talking to Jule!) as I am selling my ginormous Hiwatt Custom 100 stack and need a smaller guitar amp. I play a bit of guitar but need a solid amp for recording and rehersals in my studio.

Jule's 40w Paycheck guitar head seems perfect, so I am gonna give one a whirl.:bassist: My guitarists aren't gonna know what hit them! Looking forward to seeing what magic Jule does with guitar gear and what my Mesa/Fender/Dr. Z playing guitarists think.

The 15w Paycheck received rave reviews in Premier Guitar mag, so I am looking forward to trying the 40w.

Plus, it looks kinda familiar....;)

Quite the contrary. You are the ones making music. Nothing crazy about that.

When it gets to the point where one is creating tube circuits while supposedly asleep, that is where it becomes strange. :)

Ah, an excellent choice. But with what cab??

Topic Appropriate: loving Monique in a 4U SKB with a ShuttleMax 9.2. I've tried paths from direct out to instrument in, line out to tube channel return, and line out to power amp in. Each is unique in flavor and function, and I've always got that crisp FET channel as a backup. As Tom pointed out, none of these are pure Monique, given GB's circuit design, but they are all valid from a sonic perspective.

Picked these up last week and have been having a blast with them. With the powered Phil Jones PB-300s, I can plug the Moniques straight in, making set-up and take down really quick (at least for a stereo rig).

Very cool! I have yet to run my Moniques in stereo but I am hoping to in a month or so at a big gig. Not as pretty as yours though!:D

It's official.



Picked these up last week and have been having a blast with them. With the powered Phil Jones PB-300s, I can plug the Moniques straight in, making set-up and take down really quick (at least for a stereo rig).

Now that's just greedy!! :crying: Jule: If I hook up the dog sled and come down from the Great White North can I pick one up too :hyper:

Love the antique frosted glass green light covers. :cool: Not standard equipment.
