Sadly, I do not think anyone had to wait as long as you did to make this happen. I apologize for that. Thank you for the kind words and especially for your patience.

Generally speaking, what types of music are Monique users playing? Is it all over the board? Is there one (or more) genres that the Monique is more suited to and yet other types that Monique is really not quite right for?
I am playing basically everything except jazz.
Metal, blues, country, classic rock, funk, 80's covers, etc.
Monique works for everything IME.

Yeah I won't loose much if I hate it but I can't see that happening. Where I work we distribute Reliable Controls equipment which comes from your end of the world. So with the dealers conference happening locally I might just take you up on the offer. If I could convince the boss to fork out the money.
I'm told that they don't last long if they appear for sale and I'm used to paying for freight. Part of the joy of living down here.
Found one in Queensland about a 2 hr flight away. 5 more to find.

And there's sure jazz guys using Monique too. OK, now will someone PLEASE buy my US Ampeg 810!?! That has to leave before Monique can come home!

+1....I think at this point it's safe to say, If you need your bass to just SOUND GOOD, period, Monique will do it!
Word, best bass sound I've heard and very addicting no matter what genre. It really makes a big difference what you put into it. It can go from smooth to aggressive, I've really made it growl with my fodera in 70s single coil mode.
Blues, Singer Songwriter stuff the funk to soul to country etc. "Bonnie Raittish".
Avante jazz with an Ashbory, OMG!!!
Rock & Funk. Studio: similar genres. Now that I listed it's present gigs, I have to say, it does everything really well!
Outside Rock gigs, blues club gigs. Freaky Avante Jazz (very accessible).
Jule brought Heaven to our tone quest.

Thanks for chiming in. Yep yours was the one I found reading all the posts in this thread. I'm still hoping to find one down south but hey I almost came up for the Queensland chapter Ozbass Forum GTG last year so anything is possible. I went to the Sydney one last year and the Adelaide one this year. Strange I know.
I'm a hack on the bass so that's where the handle came from. But my son's name is Ben and he's a player too. Much better than I am but then he does have lessons.
So just how good are these units? Is the hype true and I shouldn't be without one? I currently run with a Tecamp L212 and Glock Blue soul favouring my Dingwall mostly so my sound is pretty clean, if not hi-fi. I play at Church mostly having gotten out of the gigging scene years back. I play to relax and chill but I like it to sound nice. My old valve amp is past it's use by date and I'm not liking any pedals that emulate valve amps yet. So convince me that these will bring out a better sound from my rig and it's $1500 well spent.

It's improvised music off of a familiar theme. Rather than what some folks dismiss as noise and wanking, this is melodic with prominent rhythm. Audiences love it.
The Ashbory excels at this. The Monique takes it and just dishes it right out. The Ashbory has such huge low end that when I need to boost mids to project in the mix Monique does it organically. That tweak may be just a slight turn. One of the ways Monique is so amazing is just this. You want more you turn the knob, less you turn the knob. That it actually, actually, works this way will become apparent on your first go. The highs never sound brittle. This is Jule's intention that Monique accepts piezos musically. I can then switch to an EB and not really have to change anything.
I tried running Monique full on and controlling the output thru the Carving DCM2000 4ohm bridged into a 2/15 and one click on the attenuator I thought the house was going to cave in. Then my wife yelled for me to turn down. Big difference and I didn't think it could sound better. No need to pull out the line out pad for this setup.
