My apologies! Title changed to something less potentially ominous.
It never occurred to me that it might suggest bad news...I mean, it's Keef...the guy's gonna outlive us all!
Some of us actually like hollow bodies with Humbuckers. And suddenly, with just one photo, the general public now believes that bass is cool.
Correction Keith is not from Richmond he is from Dartford in Kent!Keith is a standard issue tiny old geezer from Richmond.
Darryl is the best touring bassist the Stones ever had. Keith is probably the most inventive/creative in the studio. Bill was decent at playing Keith's lines live in the early years.
5-string piccolo bass, I believe.Hasn’t Keith been playing 5 strings for years now?
I'm sorry, I just can't resist posting this:
Yep, every time a mere mortal lights up a cig, God takes 5 minutes of their lives, and gives it to keif.My apologies! Title changed to something less potentially ominous.

He also plays bass on "Live with me" Fender Precision:
He's a great bass player, so is Ron Wood, check out Beckola Jeff Beck Group, it's Ron Wood on bass on the album.
Ron Wood bass, he gets a great sound, check out especially the end at about the 3 minute mark. 1968 Fender Telecaster with Rotosounds, he used Marshall Majors back then, don't know what he played through here.

Keef played bass on most of the Stones albums. He is an awesome bass player.
Well the good songs at least...He did, but he didn't necessarily play most of the bass on most of the Stones albums.
Maybe you’re yuge, yourself?I have that exact Hofner. It’s not that it’s huge. Keith is a standard issue tiny old geezer from Richmond.
