Ken has definitely improved throughout the week and gotten more comfortable. Even a couple witty comebacks. I'd be fine with Ken. He's an average guy like us and I'd like to see him get the permanent gig.

Carson was the perfect host. He understood that he was never supposed to be the star, and other than the first 5 minutes, not even the center of attention. He knew his role was like that of a circus ring master - to do everything he could to make everyone else be their best.
A little while ago, at least on my station, they ran a bunch of reruns of the early seasons. Young Alex seemed nervous and hyper to me compared to the calm, sonorous presence he became.
I thought Jennings did quite well, all in all. I'm rooting for him; to my mind, he's the person after Alex most identified with the show, and I'd hate for them to give it to someone who was already a celebrity for something else. One thing about Alex was that you DIDN'T associate him with anything else; he was the Host of Jeopardy. Katie Couric or Levar Burton might be able to perform but they'll never be the Host of Jeopardy. I think Jennings can become that.
It's like Dr. Who; it's fine that many different actors play the Doctor, but I never would want to see Liam Neeson or (the late) Sean Connery do it. You want the actor playing the Doctor to BE the Doctor, not a face you know from a dozen other things just stepping into the role for a while on their way to some other gig.
I'm slowly warming up to Jennings, although his voice still sounds a bit sharp to me.
Keep in mind that, while he was never as beloved as his predecessor, Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather did rather well for himself (see what I did there?

I agree that Ken seems to be getting better, but I also agree with other have said about his voice.
I'm interested in seeing Rodgers host... he has the time after this past Sunday.
I'm a Bears fan, I had to say that. Though, I generally like him, he seems like a good guy.

I've never been a fan, even back when she hosted the Today show.

Unless Ken is getting horrible scores from viewers, I am ready to accept him as Trebek’s successor. Don’t see a need for a bunch more tryouts.

Wasn't on last night here. The presentation of impeachment articles. Couldn't Congress have done that during the evening news?
It was pre-empted here in the Memphis market as well due to bad weather. When that happens, they should run a banner at the bottom of the screen when they'll re-broadcast it (usually in the middle of the night). That way I can at least record it rather than miss it entirely...

I would be very comfortable with Ken as permanent host. He did a great job the last 3 weeks, growing and improving with every show.
He improved a lot. The first week I thought he was way too stiff. He got to seem much more comfortable as he went along. I'd like to see him get the permanent job.
I would be quite happy with Ken, as well. And I think they've been dialing in his voice processing a bit, too.
I think that having Alex’s blessing counts for a lot, in my book.

I don’t want to see a string of wannabes trying out. That’s just a stunt. Ken is the correct choice and everyone involved with the show knows it at this point.
Ken co-hosts a podcast called Omnibus which is very interesting take on a variety of topics. At times on there he is very irritating, prticularly when he and his co-host go off-script. He's doing OK on Jeopardy, but he's not someone I'd want to spend a lot of time with.

This is probably true for a whole lot of celebrities who aren't what they pretend to be when the camera's red light is on.
