The most recent one (I think, anyway) had James making his 2nd appearance. In his 1st appearance, he was unstoppable. He blew through the Final Chase like he had a beautiful date waiting for him. Didn't miss a question.

The 2nd time around, I had to question whomever came up with the lists of questions for the Final Chase. In my opinion, the questions asked of the contestants were MUCH easier than the list James was asked. I saw most of the old ones (with The Beast), and this one seemed like the first one I felt was blatantly unfair (from a difficulty of the questions perspective). Maybe they should use the same list for the contestants AND the Chaser. Just slap a set of headphones on The Chaser with AC/DC blasting through them while the contestants take their turn...

After Jennings, the show will cycle through several other guest hosts. Producers previously announced that fellow TODAY alumna and TV journalist Katie Couric, former "Big Bang Theory" star Mayim Bialik, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and "60 Minutes" correspondent Bill Whitaker will all have a turn at the lectern.

Tuesday, show producers announced Savannah (Guthrie)'s guest-hosting role in addition to television host Dr. Mehmet Oz, CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta. They didn't specify when exactly their episodes will air.

I do not want a revolving door of "Star" Guest Hosts. "Star" Contestants are good.

Guess they are trying to market Jeopardy to a new crowd. Though its consistency is what has kept and continued to keep their viewing audience.

I still think Jennings has proven he’s the correct pick. I don’t see any point in continued guest hosting. This show needs consistency* and Jennings provides that in spades.

Why have a TV quack host what has always been a thinking man's (and woman's) show.

I'm not sold on Jennings but they do need to settle on someone soon. The show should be about the questions and contestants, not the flavor of the week host.

This does seem more like a stunt for ratings than serious auditions for a replacement. I haven't kept up completely but I wonder if Brad Rutter is being considered. I do like the idea of a record winning champion hosting because of the legitimate connection to the game and fan base, and Brad seems to have a lot of good qualities to grow into the role.

‘Jeopardy’ Fans, and Some Past Contestants, Are Not Happy That Dr Oz Is Guest Hosting

It’s just about impossible to replace the man who hosted “Jeopardy” for nearly four decades and more than 8,000 episodes, but somebody will have to take over Alex Trebek’s legacy sooner or later. Whoever they pick among the guests hosts Sony is trying out won’t satisfy everyone, but there’s one person slated for one of those guests slots who a whole lot of fans — and even some past contestants! — are already rejecting: Mehmet Oz, aka Dr. Oz, whose guest spot was revealed Tuesday evening.

There’s going to be some level of negative response to every one of the guest hosts — how could there not be, since none of them are Trebek? Plus, you know, there’s no option that everyone likes. So some amount of grumbling from “Jeopardy” fans is to be expected.

But the backlash to Dr. Oz on social media is a bit more acute than just some grumbling. Dr. Oz’s guest slot was announced on the “Jeopardy” Twitter account, and the news was met with plenty of scorn as the tweet was quickly ratio’d. That’s when the replies to a tweet and quote tweets far outweigh the likes and regular retweets because people are sounding off about it.

He speaks way too fast on his own show, and he doesn't articulate especially well.

Not the right choice for a calm oasis of a show like "Jeopardy!"

My guess is they will each get a week, and during that time, unless one of them is absolutely fantastic, the show will use the time to coach Jennings to get better, and they can show they are "inclusive" in their search.

I'm afraid they'll have to give each one more than a week. IF they eventually select Ken, the ones who are not selected would probably sue because they didn't get the same "fair shot" of a 6-week trial as did Ken.

If Ken isn't selected (and I think he should be), I like the earlier suggestion of Brad Rutter. Also sharp as a tack, and very likable. James (Holzhauer) is a bit too acerbic to be a good "Jeopardy!" host. I do like him a lot as the villainous chaser on "The Chase" though.

So my two-cents: Go with Ken. If not, go with Brad.

For a while, Levar Burton's name was kicked around. I would like to see him give it a go.

It seems that they are looking at a diverse pool, which is a good thing.
