...that I I'm listening to all of their albums from self titled to Dynasty.
In one night!
Honestly, the last time I listen to Kiss was probably the 2nd grade during the 70's.
What age were you in the second grade?
No offense; just curious.
Two hours into it now, listening to Rock And Roll Over.
Please tell my family that I love them.
I won't survive this awfulness.
Methinks the canary doth protest too much.
The early albums up to Destroyer weren't all that bad.
Heck one of the few cover tunes my band still performs is "Cold Gin"
It's just sweaty, fist-pumping rock n roll.
They have a self-titled album?
I got loaded last night too, but I was in bed by 1am.
If it weren't for KISS, I wouldn't know how to play guitar, nor bass.
I will say this - Kiss basically showed the world that ANYONE can play a musical instrument. They helped launch a million kid/garage bands.
KISS, and the Ramones. And they both proved that you can be ugly as sin too, and still become rock stars w/ tons of women throwing themselves at you.
I was already learning to play guitar when they hit the scene. I was not impressed. I couldn't get past the get-ups. No self-respecting, legitimate, rock and roller from my day had to put make up on or change their name. They were good because they were good. Period.
I never "got" KISS until I saw them live a couple months ago. Not bad for a couple of dudes pushin 70.
7 years old.
There's talk about having a "reality" show where Gene & Paul choose their replacements.
One day KISS will have no original members, but their legacy will live on.
We can all play circles around those guys.
I'm holding back out of modesty.
Kiss's "Destroyer" was the first album I bought with the help of my Sister, who is almost 5 years older than me.
I was hooked at that point!
Destroyer was their best album with makeup. The best w/o makeup was Animalize.
The first ever live concert I saw was Kiss on the Destroyer tour...and I never even heard of them before it(I was 10, my sister "dragged" me to see it ). I was hooked for life after that.
I've never seen KISS in full regalia.
I'm soo sorry you had to endure that.
