I was already learning to play guitar when they hit the scene. I was not impressed. I couldn't get past the get-ups. No self-respecting, legitimate, rock and roller from my day had to put make up on or change their name. They were good because they were good. Period.

Kiss's "Destroyer" was the first album I bought with the help of my Sister, who is almost 5 years older than me.
I was hooked at that point!

Destroyer was their best album with makeup. The best w/o makeup was Animalize.

The first ever live concert I saw was Kiss on the Destroyer tour...and I never even heard of them before it(I was 10, my sister "dragged" me to see it ). I was hooked for life after that.
