How can I address these issues without appearing to be predjudiced in your opinion?
Well, that depends what issues you are concerned with.
You see, if you were really concerned about racial prejudice, racial divides, and outright racism, I would think you would not always post only about white vs. black racism. Now, in the past your defense to this has been 'Well, I'm a professor of black things, so naturally it follows that I post about that which I'm familiar with". To a degree I can agree with that, however, I find it odd that you ONLY post about black vs. white racism. No other kind.
One would
think that if you were genuinely concerned about racism as a thing that affects people of all colors, in all directions, then you might take the time to do research outside of white vs. black racism, find some articles, and brings those to the table as well.
I mean, how can we truly understand racial prejudice unless we look at it from all the angles available to us? The way you go about it, you only address a very small facet of a much greater issue.
So ask yourself, do you really care about racism in all it's forms, or do you, as I suspect, concern yourself only with white vs. black racism? Therein lies your apparent prejudice: you really only want to talk about white people being racist. It's obvious.
Now, as much as I grind your gears about this, I still can't argue with promoting understanding - but if you're going to do it, you might want to look at it from more than one angle, because there's a lot to be learned from it. Then I would have no problem with you being the 'race thread guy' on TBOT. Unfortunately, you're not the 'race thread guy', rather, you're the 'guy who constantly obsesses over white people being racist to black people'. Maybe not to everyone, but to a lot of us.
