Kubicki club, part 2

See now that's just plain mean, now I feel bad about myself, the only way to feel good again is to get another kubicki. :)
Which one the maple neck?

There's one on Reverb, one in Austin and one in Houston. If I make you feel bad enough it's really gonna cost ya! :D

I like that bottom right(?) one that looks kind of greenish -- pretty color!

Ya I always thought a green metallic would be sweet ...did you see the purple yet?

I think so.

I'm more partial to white, yellow, orange myself. My inbound red is fine. The wood tops are pretty but to me they just don't suit that style bass. A Factor just screams 'look at me! Look at my lines!' And I think bright colors just add to that vibe!

I think I just now caught that one teach

...

Person1: I like the Teal Factor
Teach: Which one? The Maple Neck Teal?[Or the Rosewood? Or the Key 5? Or were you referring to the Key 4? Or maybe it was next to one of the Teals?]

That is very cool - I've never seen a natural-bodied full-maple necked Jazz Plus. If I had the $ I'd drive there today and buy it. But it isn't a maple body, most likely ash which still would be unique for that model as they were all alder-bodied. I have a 'standard' J+ and it's a great 22 fret Fender bass that sounds like a Factor. The maple/ash combo would probably put a sharper edge on an already effective 'cutting-through' tone.

Here is the LAST (according to the Kubicki FB page) exotic wood EX-Factor to be sold.
yup that's my baby right there progressing nicely. i can see the perimeter trim taking place. bolts into mount perhaps for glues or finish to set. ( <<--- that's me acting like I know what I'm talking about) i hadn't seen that shot till just now so thanks for sharing @saltydude :) she is looking lean and so mean and aww yaa you know what I mean!

u can still get a traditional black or sunburst EX Factor for 4800. Those are the only 2 options on a brand new asfaik.

BTW Mike Haney is the man. I have been watching his workshop videos. My Flamed Maple or as I kept seeing it referred to as the 'Curly Maple' is in good hands!

On another note, can't recall if anyone shared [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] but its 2500 signed albeit to someone else from out in houston. oh man!! you can always get a pearlier white teacher! if i had bigger cajones i would but my car is sinking ;)

Wow! Hey man congrats. I was made privy to it when I spoke with Jewel several months back. Good luck with it. The seafoam one I thought was in NY upstate somewhere if it's the same one. We communicated through Email. It was a 9V and he wanted too much for it but he wasn't motivated to sell hence the high price.

Me I just scored another 18V 1993 build out of Virginia. Still waiting on it.

How'd you find the VA one?

How'd you find the VA one?

Just some diligent searching. Multiple engines. Found it after looking through page after page. To my surprise it came up on the 9th or 10th.

EDIT: JUST A PEEK.

Disclaimer: I was able to talk them down a bit. Yes it's a little pricey but it's one of Phils and it's totally mint.
Their getting to the point of being few and far. When you see one BUY IT. I've had my eye on it for 6+ months. Was very surprised when I called last week and it was still available.

There's a slim chance I may let go of one of my 9V's but it plays sooooo sweet. We'll see. If I don't use it within the next 6-12 months I may sell it. Keep your eyes peeled!!!
