well...what do you wanna know? :smug:
the 5502 sounds awesome and plays wonderful...i can get a modern slap sound and old school r&b sounds...it always fits perfect in every situation :hyper:

and my beloved 5594 has a cream buckeye burl top, a birdseye maple fingerboard and the best neck i ever played! it's soo freakin' awesome.
i bought it two months ago, tried two foderas, some sadowksy basses and then i tried that one and fell in love.
i already knew that the preamp and pickups are great and the birdseye maple fingerboard and the gorgeous looking top just amazed me. furthermore the lakland was the best playing bass i tried that day :cool:

thats why i took it with me!

PS: currently recording my solo album with it ;)

Heh! I know, I just wanted to see if you were liking the sound yourself. A lot of people don't care for the sound solo'd (I do, actually), but still love it in a full-band context. Glad to hear it's a keeper!

I've got a question concerning 44-02's. With the coil-tap, does it use the MMHB to replicate both 60's and 70's jazz bass pickup spacing, or are the coils in different spots? I'm wondering because I cant afford to buy as many basses as I want (balls huh?) and the 44-02 seems like a good jack of all trades but master of none (but it's own hahah) bass.

Glad to hear all is well on the DC and music scene.....

as for the meeting...thanks to all! it went MUCH better than expected...I MAY even get more work out of it.....he was MUCH more calm and we had some good discussions...I celebrated with an "extra pump" vanilla latte and a double chocolate brownie from Starbucks on the 2 hour drive home!!!

Too bad I cannot celebrate with another bass! Maybe after he hires me a few more times!!! (hardy har har!!!)

i'm pretty sure that's the reason for the coil tap instead of series/single/parellel. that's in addition to the thought that the lakland pups can't be wired in the latter configuration.

Randy - she looks GREAT on you!!!! nice to see it getting some good lovin and a workout at the same time.....would love to hear ti sometime....next time I am in Indiana I'll give you a buzz.....

if you will never sell it, I just MAY have to get a copy made....
