As usual, I come to my lakland cohorts for some sound advice. I am really needing a P5, and I know that A.) I do not have the fund for a US and B.) A skyline P5 is not going to happen.....I have an opportunity to possibly trade my Glaub for a new fender P5 (in the same color..lol). I can't believe I am thinking about trading my Glaub. I love that thing, but just wish it had a low B. Am I making a mistake???? Talk some sense into me.

Skyline might happen next year and until that, there's tons of music and a bunch of Lakies you may want to hunt for

If you really really really need a P5 right now you could have a P installed into a Lakland J. The necks are the same anyway. And lately there was a burst Skyline JO5 PJ for sale in the Classifieds.
Or else, do the same to a 55-01.




P.S. and the lettar may happen to myself if no Skyline P5 appears in the market.

If i do this i will be able to sell my Fender P5 without worrying about loosing the P tone.

I saw that....I am looking for a 44-01 fretless that is calling for a black p/g...lol. Thanks for all the advice on the P5. Maybe I will just wait for lakland to give me what I need.

2. The Skyline BG WILL eventually happen and make you throw rocks at a Fender
3. You have other 5's to pacify you until the Skyline happens
4. Get a Genz 112 Neox for your baby Eden

Thanks. Something to look at when the time comes. I guess there are a few options out there but i really liked the Fralin tone.

Second question to anyone.
Im pretty certain i will get a Black PG from Jeannie's to go on my Black sparkle DJ5 when it arrives. Ive had Black before and while i love the overall look im not over keen on the shiny look. I see Roger can do a Matt one so my question is does anyone have one or would like to comment on Matt Vs gloss?
Im a bit worried it might show scratches more.
