Wow, 34 hours in and we're over 350 posts! At this rate we'll be at #25 in less than three days....
Meanwhile, over in the Sadowsky thread, they're working really hard on Part 8... :ninja:

Maybe Roger has to think about contracting Lakland to get a bit of Lakland onwners' affection.
And maybe, Sadowsky owners waste too much time playing their basses.

At this rate Luke will take the lead...and I don't nkow if he has a Lakie...YET!!!! C'mon luke....with all these posts, its time to take a plunge!!!! or if you have one....TIME TO POST SOME PICS!!!!!!

Yet is the key word. Remember, by both our countries standards I'm not even an adult, and I've got no dosh at the moment.
As soon as I get enough cash, I will take my first step onto the Lakland road. Trust me, I really want one. Maybe I can imagine really hard that I've got one....yep, it's working...
Oh man, you should see it, its a Skyline BG5 in 3TSB, with a black white black pickguard. Wow, this finish is absolutley flawless...

:hiding:

Luke.

I just got a 55-02 Deluxe model with a clear pickguard. Price was astoundingly low and I'm in love. This is my first Lakland and it wont be my last.

I'm a believer!!!:bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist:

awesome looks! kudos to you and to the guy who chose a clear PG to protect that beauty

Oh jeez, thats exactly not what I needed to hear to keep GAS at bay. One thing I am worried about, is that I'm used to the 35" scale on my Cirrus, and when I play the Spector I feel cramped. What are the chances I could score a Lakie 4 in 35"? Actually come to think of it, I've also fallen in love with the oil finish on the neck of my Peavey, much better than any satin or gloss finish I've used, think they'd do that too?

there is a number of USA 45-94s out there, a 45-76 at Leo's, but I haven't seen any 4 string 35" Ps.
And, I do prefer the tung oil finish on mu USA 5-94 to the satin finish on my Shorelines, but the tung oil finish is not akin to that of Warwick kind of treatment. Never tried a Cirrus to compare tho.

So just curious, are there any standard best passive preamps and strings for the DJ5? I'm a big fan of regular ol' dia'darrios but I thought I'd go for some opinions. What say you?

O_o

passive preamps???

well, I do know of a single instance of a passive booster in the market, but I'm not sure if you actually meant that
