DO you guys think a Skyline Decade would take a refinish nicely? Looking at one, and wondering how a 3TB on Mahogany would look.

no it isn't. Unlike the -94, the pup is in the exact MM position. According to what I've read, the optional BasLines pup just nails it

Ok here comes one of potentially many n00b Lakland questions.

BG vs. DD I see on the Lakland site the BG is 1.75 at the nut and the DD is 1.5. So it looks like the typical J vs. P bass scenario for the neck. They both have the "New Lakland Hybrid Spilt Pickup" so is the neck pretty much the difference between the two?

BG is a P with a JO (read: JB '62) neck. You're right about the rest as well - besides the looks

WOOHOOO!!!! Finally got my journey back to the promised land ironed out.... Visiting the factory with my two babies along for some setups (and Leo laughingly told me he has two full racks of B stocks.... ). Then on Saturday we're hitting the Cubs game at Wrigley and seeing U2 at Soldier Field that night. Should be a GEEEEERRRRRREEEEEEAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT weekend in my favorite city!!! Any local Lakland buddies that want to meet up for lunch on Friday, pre-factory visit, let me know!

The Giant of Sherwood is staying! I've switched out the stock Bart pre for an Audere and I've decided thats all the changes that will be made. I'm keeping my eye out for a Skyline JO5.

True. But I'm also talking about a value that isn't just based on how it plays/feels/looks, it was my first bass, and originally my Dad's and it's vintage (lol).
Besides, I think eventually there will be room for multiple P's in my flock.
