Got a question. How does a 4-76 stack up against a stingray tone-wise?
+1 I think when you get that low, it eats up so much power to genereate that low note and it doesn'y project at all....I could be wrong, but that is my opinion.

LOL...thats funnier than you know....when I bought this one (Brand New '09) I never tried the 4WD. I was sitting in the jeep while my wife was getting chinese take out and though I would check it out....DIDNT work. There was a clip that held the shift cable that broke, so I just got it fixed last week. If that grass would have been taller, I may have been stuck. At least I know I can call you for a towSo anyway, the guys at work rag me about my non 4wd 4x4 jeep.
Well, I've checked in over at the "01" thread, so I might as well do the same here...

HOLY CRAP not 24 hours later after my first Lakland, I just ordered a DJ in black sparkleI was going to go with the Lake Placid but black is my favorite color for a bass so I couldn't help myself.
I blame all of you for this
Stupid Musician's Friend 20% off special and 12 months no payments or interest
Since I only live 2 hours SW of Chicago I'm going to have to take a trip to Lakland and smack them errrrrr I mean thank them for making such an awesome product.![]()

Exactly. What bass/es do you normally take when you play on a Sunday?
Luke.

Say, weren't you GAS-ing for a Glaub the other day on Cheese's thread? I guess that's next.![]()
Hey all,
It was brought up in the previous thread, but, regarding a Chi-Sonic P style pickup, does anyone know what is stopping Lakland's head honchos from producing one?
blondmix3 said that the current P has similar technology, but the Chi's have a very unique look (which I like), and a P with the Chi look would be hawt.
Luke.
P.S. The tally board that pops up every new thread, how is that done? I hope GrecC has some sort of software or such to count the posts of each person, rather then doing it physically.
there is no cure for Gas. Although lakland has cured my gas for other brands....it increased my gas for more laklands.
Good question. Let's open that up to everyone who plays at church. What basses to take with you on a sunday morning? I usually take my BG4 and my 55-02. I do not want to have all of them up on the stage with me...but I think I will probably add my new fretless as well. So three basses.
major congrats!!!!
you will love it!
2 hours SW huh???? pretty close to me and GregC.....let us know when you are going and maybe we will mee you there...we are always looking for a "reason" however small to get down there!!!
I agree with you. The Glaub is by far, my go to bass....I *COULD* play everything with it, but what fun would that be...lol. I started taking my 55-02 for some of the R&B type of stuff (Israel Houghton, Fred Hammond) and now with a fretless, I would like to try some nice fretless action during the slower worship times. Although, when I am running late, I grab the Glaub gigbag and run and I am never left wanting more.
BG vs. DD I see on the Lakland site the BG is 1.75 at the nut and the DD is 1.5. So it looks like the typical J vs. P bass scenario for the neck. They both have the "New Lakland Hybrid Spilt Pickup" so is the neck pretty much the difference between the two?
Cool, I will do that.
Ok here comes one of potentially many n00b Lakland questions.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My P is in DGFC (I just call it D standard, is that right?) and especially with modern church music, those lower notes are needed enough to warrant the down tuning and my future 5 string, lol.
Luke.
