hope to finalize everything tonight....

awesome finish

Alright so I'm going to shoot this out there. Is there anyone in New Hampshire, or the surrounding area that wouldn't mind getting together and jamming/letting me try out their Lakies?
You will probably have better luck posting that on the LOG board, especially since this thread is on the verge of getting closed.

It'd be quicker and easier to go to the electronics threads and ask for a wiring diagram, or search for one. It'd take me a while to find one if I even still have one. I think Dimarzio sent one w/ my long gone Model Js that I put in a non-Lakie that I sold. It's a very simple solder job IIRC.

Ok thanks.
Im sure i can find a diagram somewhere.
my soldering skills are pretty basic but im sure i can handle it.
Seriously thinking of just getting a NP5 put in now though.

Wire two pots up like this, but add in the pickups as so,

white lead from one to the hot lug, and the black lead from that to the white lead of the other, then wire the last black lead to the case of the pot.

Think of each half of the P pickup in the diagram as a full J pickup.

Excellent, thanks very much. I might have a go this weekend.

Thanks. As long as i dont have to pay any import duty etc thats going to save me about £35.

Ill see how this weekend goes and maybe place an order next week.

well I don't know how it works in the UK, but two people I know received parcels from them in the course of 9 days and, since the price of each was less than 10,000 RUR (appr. $350) they didn't have to pay duties whatsoever.

Im not sure how it works either but i do remember last year ordering a media streamer from the USA for about £120 and i got charged by customs.
Ill look in to it though.
