LOL! He looks like an estatic teenager for sure! My son has a 44-02 and loves it! In fact he just made the Junior High Jazz band today!

:hyper:

Thought some of you may be interested in this.

About 4 months ago, I bought this lovely 44-02 from the TB Classifieds. I know a couple of you have owned this bass (Matty;)).
I looked far and wide for a solid do-anything bass to give my son for his 16th B-day(he's already got a MIM P). I wanted to keep the price below $600 and was leaning toward a G&L Tribute L2000 when this beautiful bass popped up on the classifieds for a great price(thanks T:bassist:). More than I wanted to pay, but worth every penny. It's an '04 with the Barts.
I had a couple of months to play with it before his Bday and really fell in love with it. It truly is a "Swiss Army Knife" in the bass world, which is exactly what I wanted. He's in his high school jazz band but likes doing the rock n roll thing with his friends. Perfect bass for this purpose.
It was difficult parting with it, but I gave it to him for his B-day and, needless to say..... he was ecstatic:hyper:
I wish my dad played bass:)
Here's a pic of the happy(even if he doesn't look it) teenage Lakland owner...

Isn't yours a Skyline? If it's "out for paint", it's a US.

Not my bass thats out for paint, i was replying to another post but yes, i thought that.
Im sure i read or saw a video that said the Skylines arrive at Lakland already strung and just needed the electronics putting in.
I guess i could have got it wrong though.
Guess i didnt bother paying attention to the poster i was replying to.

Yeah, I know. What I'm saying is the term "Out for Paint" at Lakland is usually attacked to a US bass. Yes...the Skylines come in without electronics.

Ooohhh.....I just back from home for lunch....got to unpack the new lakie...WOW...unplugged, it sounded awesome. Resonated for days! The Cherry Burst is beautiful as well. I dunno, I may be becoming a 4 string guy...maybe not, but maybe yes...this will be interesting. We are heading to nashville for thwe weekend after work, so the bass and WTX500 are already packed up. I will mess with it a bit at the hotel tonight, and get some pics.
