I posted these in the DJ5 thread but thought i might as well add them here.
I had to take off the PG as im sending to off to get a black one made and im getting the Nordy NP5 put in at the same time.
I was really surprised at how nice it looks without the PG.
If i wasnt getting the NP5 put in i think i would just fill the holes and keep it like this. It was after seeing it like this that made me decide on a plain black PG.

because i want more of a modern jazz sound from my bass, without havin to actually buy another bass. I like the jazz tone on it, but its not exactly the jazz tone I have in my head. I love the pbass and mm tones from it.

does your 55-02 have Barts or Lakies? Mine has Lakies and is very "modern sounding"...though not like a Sad...actually, I have played a few Sads and did not like them as much....oh well...to each his own...

I have the Laklands. I love the jazz tone on the 5502, but i just want a little diff option, i figure the sadowsky preamp would help with this. Lately i feel like my Lakland has too much mids, and i dial them back quite a bit lately. I use a UL502 and UL410. Anybody else run this rig? I just bought a pair of UL112's. I hear that they dont have as many mids as the UL410, so hopefully they work out. If they do, im gonna go with 4 UL112 and run a poweramp with the UL502. Anybody have any opinions? (I dont mind lugging around the cabs, theyre light)
