I posted these in the DJ5 thread but thought i might as well add them here.
I had to take off the PG as im sending to off to get a black one made and im getting the Nordy NP5 put in at the same time.
I was really surprised at how nice it looks without the PG.
If i wasnt getting the NP5 put in i think i would just fill the holes and keep it like this. It was after seeing it like this that made me decide on a plain black PG.
That IS pretty sweet.
Yeah, once the pick guard arrives its all going off to be converted in to a PJ5. Cant wait although it means ill have to do at least 3 gigs with the P5.
I tried too, but with no success. Was that taken with a phone camera?

Have you tried adjusting the dip switch in the control cavity? You might want to tweak on that a bit to see if you can get it more to your liking. I used to have a 55-02 with Barts but can't remember the settings. Sure some of these dudes can help.
The UL cabs have a good helping of mids to them; without a lot of low mids (esp the UL410 cab - I have one). To my ear, the UL cabs are more mid focused.
Try them dip switches. If you set it at the lowest (250 Hz?), may sound better to you. Or set it at 500 and cut a bit? (I'm usually not a fan of cutting unless I have to.
I think it might be the epifani rig. At church today, we use in ears, it was sounding perfect, exactly how i want it to sound. I cant seem to pull that off with the epifani stuff though. Hopefully the UL112's will help with that, cut some of the mids maybe, bring a more rounded sound than that up front in your face tone? Anybody have any experience?
I can see the complaint now:

the switches are inside of the cavity in the back of the bass...differing combinations can significantly differ the sound of the bass....

If the body were not already routed for CHIs...I would have wanted a 5 banger twin to that (but with the B&B neck)...actually, Leo and I talked about it but they could not do anything since it was already CHI routed and the P would "interfere" with the CHI....oh well!

I wanted to do the exact same thing but could not find a decent black DJ5 to do it to....except I was not sure what pickguard to put on it.....
