Honestly, and I'm a HUGE HB fan here (Markus can tell you...), but you don't see too many ACDJs floating around. If it's a good deal, I'd probably snatch that up. I don't see the HB going anywhere anytime soon.

Been helping my buddy shop for his first "decent" bass. (We snagged Markus' old Carvin/Peavey rig a while back). Anyways, we saw one of these at GC, and it has me drooling! I'd love it if I could afford to have Dan build me one, same LPBlue color, black pg, add a chrome br cover and SD Bassline pup, BEM fb would be sweet too.

Anybody else think this would be a HAWT addition to the Lakland product line??

I dialed in some killer tone on this - this bass has huge Sonority (for lack of a better word) in each note- it is just Thick and Luscious - major booty going on. Just playing it and smiling - thinking this is the real deal - no joke - it sounds full and bad ass - so maybe I will keep her like this for a bit.

I think I am going to call her
"Thick and Luscious"

OK....GAS related issue....ya'll know my plan to get a HB....well, I just had another bass cross my path that I have been gassing for...and it is NOT in the color config that I am known for. HB or ACDJ4?

Now...how does the DJ sound much different that the JO5 you are selling?

Once you have the HB in hand, you will see you made the right choice.

Well.... I think it's purty obvious that Markus likey him HB and has no love for DJs.

yeah,what would you say then CHI-guru???

i think the hollowbody would add more versatility to your arsenal, you already have the jazz thing covered with the 55-02, but IF it had chi's then that would add more IMO.

Well...I was GASSING for a HB...and still am, but this essentially limited edition, of a discontinued model came acoss as a local deal...MUCH CHEAPER...than the HB. I would assume a natural DJ with maple neck and black blocks would be easy to move if I didn't like it. There will always be HB's out there, but no more ACDJ's will be made.

I don't hate the DJ at all! I've owned one...great basses....but you don't need one, and you GAS for the HB. I mean...you just sold a JO.
