LAKLAND OWNERS GROUP #29

6 string Laklands... OK, the five string is a built in thumb rest, what is the 6th one for..... no wait, I am very afraid of the answer I might get, NEVERMIND!!!!!!!!!!

What seemed funny to me was the refined adoring attitude of Lakland co. to basses, all the scrutiny and attention to detail vs. the... you know... punk attitude :D
I think the very idea of getting a perfect, refined and expensive collector's item of a bass, ideal to the core, is just what punk is aimed at... no? :)

I'll give you that - I'd love to see say - Mike Watt - playing a Lakland, but the thought of the bass being deluged by razor blade etchings and stickers makes me squirm.

And yes - to me, Paul Simonon was to 1977 British Punk as Jamerson was to Motown!:eek::eek:
