mine are nice enough to keep. try one for yourself and decide.

I've also seen more sadowskys, allevas, and wal basses for sale. I would assume this is due to the economy and not the quality of the instrument

Due to the massive influx of Laklands for sale right now, I'm questioning their awesomeness.

It seems they're nice basses, but not nice enough to keep.

Opinions?

If you do a little research into that, you will see that most lakland sellers usually are selling their Lakland(s) to get another one(and no I'm not being sarcastic).

They are by far the nicest basses I've played and owned...no other bass makes me say wow out loud after playing it...and this goes for every one I have. Times are tough right now for a lot of people. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the quality or playability of the instrument. In my opinion, they are the best in the business. Lakland just captures that "it" in a bass.

Ah-ight. Making it's only appearance as an 55-01, here it is my new, old stock '08 Indo-Plek:

There's quite a bit more sparkle than the pics show. I am really, really digging the Inca/Rosewood combo. This is my only RW bass. Pickguard is most likely gonna be White Pearloid, keeping the black knobs.

I gotta tell ya, I'm surprised. I fired it up with the Lakland Steels that come on it, and this little sucker POPS! Great frikkin' snappy tone! the neck is plekked, so it plays perfectly like all my others. It almost makes me rethink sending it off to the chop shop. If this is Lakland's most cost effective bass, it's gotta be one of the best deals on earth!
