No, just 2 brothers Glaub...LPB and DS
Dont start me on the Scheff... it is in pieces (almost) ... trying to take out the rear pick up to see if the connection is loose as Kirk suggested and..... whoever worked on this stripped the tops of the pick-up screws. I have 3 of the 4 out and cant get the last one. I have a set of jewelers screwdrivers at the house, but it is one of those days.... Pick up my car at the shop at 4:00, 2 student lessons from 5:30 to 6:60, iBLAST for 5th & 6th graders from 6:30 to 8:30, quick change to black suit for pictures with the horn band at 9:00, be home around 10:30, THEN try to get the last darn screw out!!!

Push the pup in against the foam backing and grab the screw head with channel locks, and twist it out. You'll be replacing the screws anyways. I've encountered similar issues on older basses, and this always worked for me :).

So I've been loving the Silver Surfer with Sunbeams, but I thought I'd try something different. I put some JO flats on it and started favoring the neck pickup lately. WOW.....I'm getting this very cool upright tone that is complex, woody, girthy, and yes...organic:D It's just this primal old school vibe that's so naturally beautiful...I can't get enough! Love the fwack sound of the attack and the very full, round, slightly muted notes.

Totally feelin' it! Evan...you and me are sharing this mindset! Just thought I'd share my excitement!

Ebony+low action+JOs+ChiSonics+passive...just amazing! Very easy to get some funkified grooves going.

Primal, old school cool upright tone that is complex, woody, girthy, and organic doesn't exist without soundclips . . . ;)

LET'S HEAR THAT BASS BROTHER!!

Looks like some good yard bird right there! I actually have one of those contraptions!

AHHH, but have you actually EATEN a bird from your yard?

I have NOT, but my grandmother has picked wild greens from her yard and we ALL picked polk (another wild green, sorta) from around her leaky septic tank. Great place for digging worms for fishin' too! And, I dug ginseng in the woods behind her house. And, I ate squirrels from there too, yum yum!!

Chilhood in east TN :D nuttin quite like it!

Holy crap! What model!?

Specs on it are:

2008 (New Old Stock) Skyline 55-01 Indo-Plek
Barts were lovingly removed to make room for a Nordstrand NP5 that is going in at the BG5 spacing (3.5" from Apex of bridge)
That one knob is actually going to be a stacked Volume/Tone config.
Custom pickguard (designed with with Markus' kind and expert input) to cover up the mess.

Can. Not. Wait.
