Thanks! I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not, as I went in planning on ordering a seafoam green Glaub. This one was readily available, so I pondered it a while... and bit. I LOVE the color. It's so much better in person too.
It IS my first US Glaub. Actually, my first Glaub period. I daresay it won't be my last. I'd love to get one in the vein of Nick Harmer (Death Cab for Cutie)... Ash w/ black blocked neck.
BUT... I'm already putting together funds for a US JO. Probably won't put the order in for another 6 months or so; but still... awesome.

So I've been loving the Silver Surfer with Sunbeams, but I thought I'd try something different. I put some JO flats on it and started favoring the neck pickup lately. WOW.....I'm getting this very cool upright tone that is complex, woody, girthy, and yes...organicIt's just this primal old school vibe that's so naturally beautiful...I can't get enough! Love the fwack sound of the attack and the very full, round, slightly muted notes.
Totally feelin' it! Evan...you and me are sharing this mindset! Just thought I'd share my excitement!
Ebony+low action+JOs+ChiSonics+passive...just amazing! Very easy to get some funkified grooves going.

OK - so I am on a VERY long drive to Michigan today and I call Markus to discuss a few business (LOG and my business) items and he says...."Before you say anything....listen to this...: and he plays the SS set up as descibed above over his cell speaker phone...even through that crappy speaker and my crappy cell speaker I knew it was magic (and I HATE flats!!!).....sounds awesome! simply awesome.....
maybe Denis will experience somehting SIMILAR...huh Denis???? spill it my friend...c'mon....let us get excited for you!!!
