Nice dude!

Time for the updated family pic: L-R = 2009 Glaub with Lakland pup's, 2007 BG with Fralin's, 2008 JO4 CS, and JO4 #26. One of them is spoken for, but look for another one of them to move out so another Lakland can move in. Such is the nature of transient family life. *sigh* Laklandaholic right here folks! :help:

NO WAY!!!! I HAVE THE SAME FIREPLACE POKER!!! OMG...THIS IS SO AMAZING, oh wait, there are basses in front of that AWESOME FIREPLACE POKER. :hiding:

on a serious note, I got home and the ACDJ was sitting in the living room all boxed up. I opened it up and it was beautiful! The neck on the DJ is something I really like. This bass can't be an ounce over 8 lbs. Lightweight, killer jazz tone. I plugged it in to my Mesa and it was wonderful!!!! It may be time for my 55-02 to move out and snag a DJ5.

out of curiosity, pop the back on the controls, on the circuit board it will have a sticker, it will say either rev.c or rev.d

the rev.c was an early design and not as flexible. not much bass boost either.

the rev.d is a great preamp though!!

that being said,i actually prefer the barts in my 4-94, but i have a rev.c in my other 4-94.

It says Rec. C. Do you actually know what the differences are between Rec C and D?

That fireplace poker has killer tone! I'll probably put ChiSonics in it though.

Great news on the DJ! Sounds like your hooked! So more shoes right?

Hey guys,
With the Hollowbody and Decade, are the Chi Sonics that come standard single coils, but in a wider housing? And are humbucking Chis a special order for those models, or am I totally wrong.

ChiSonics in the Decade come either switchable humbuckers or straight up singles. They share the same housing on the Decades. The hollowbody's Chisonics are switchable humbuckers, but they are in a slightly smaller housing.

no more shoes...my wife is too practical...lol. I think a DJ5CS with J-Retro could replace my 55-02 for my active needs. I really like the neck, and the blocks. Hmmm...anyone want to trade a DJ5 for an almost brand new 55-02...lol. Though about J-Reto-ing this one, but I think I will keep it passive. It sounds too good.
