So how many runs of colors did they do in the beginning. I know they had a set amount they had to do in each color. I "think" that they never did more than one color run of the original Scheffs and I am not sure they did more than one run of the LPB Glaubs.

I know there weren't a ton of Skyline signatures sold in the beginning so it shouldn't be too hard to get some info together.

Yeah I love gold and pearl as well, but I just prefer a little bit DIFFERENT shade of gold.....

Duck Dunn is here. It is strikingly good looking. The CAR finish is very deep and nice.

Tonally, I'm going to have to get used to it. I've gotten to used to my DJ's neck pup, and the Dunn is definitely different. Much more throaty in the middle of the neck, chunkier in the lows, and the high end is less hollow sounding. Cool, but honestly I wasn't instantly jumping for joy. I've worked the EQ some and it definitely made me smile a little. I need to gig it a bit before I come to any conclusions.

I was NOT a fan of the BG5 tone until I got it in a band setting. It sits in the mix better than any bass I've owned....

Yep, lotsa J-bass players don't seem to dig the P tone until they hear it in the mix. Personally, I love it solo, too!

Now that I'm used to it, I know what I'm looking for, and love it solo as well. In the past, I was a strictly active guy, and it almost seemed the opposite- sounded GREAT soloed, but then disappeared into a pile of boom in a mix.

I want a Skyline Decade but would prefer not to have blocks and a black headstock. I am hoping that in a next run they do one with a standard neck. Shoreline gold with rosewood for me please.

I prefer a aged white guard but that is pretty close.

What type of Skyline neck? A skyline Decade neck has blocks.

I think I've just gotten used to trying to emulate a p-bass with my jazz basses and 44/55-02's. In a solo setting, I love that, but in the mix sometimes the more hollow sound of the jazz neck pup is noticeable, and it doesn't have that chunky bite that a real P bass has.

I spent some time with the Dunn and getting a good EQ setup on my rh450 for it. I went through the same thing with my DJ's, but it was a little easier since I'm used to a jazz bass. The Dunn is a keeper as I've always wanted to own a good P bass. Since I love blocks and binding, this was pretty much a no-brainer.

Oh yeah, I think I'm s'posed to answer another message somewhere... I play 4 strings (never tempted to tame a fiver). And rather than paint my Glaub I should probably just make an Orange Chi equipped bass #11. (#4 Lakie).

That obviously, is a Sink Terrible. They are to be seen in some hotels in some parts of the world. But, I just read your twitter, you're having hell of a tour. Not that much fun as you describe it to be, tsk tsk.
