LAKLAND OWNERS GROUP #31

I checked out their site and didn't see any lakland guards?

That's the downside I guess. All guards they do are pretty mcuh custom cut so you need to send in the original guard or a tracing.

Since Jeannies is the Lakland guard maker they have accurate templates. However with an early one like you have even using Jeannies I would consider sending that guard in because I think they are not 100% the same as the newer ones since Jeannie started supplying Skyline guards.

Interesting point, never thought of that. Has anyone had an issue with a new pick-guard from Jeannies on an older Skyline?

:hiding:

I prefer the triangle choke, or possible arm bar

And maybe a "Figure 4 Leg Lock"?

YOu might want to check with Jeannies about it. Back when they first started to sell Lakland guards premade I ordered a black guard for a Glaub I had around and he mentioned to me at that time that it would be best to send mine in for a prefect fit. I went with their stock template and I remember it "worked" but was not perfect. It was very tight around the pickup area and I think one screw was ever so slightly off. Like I said it worked but I am not sure what Jeannies would suggest. That was a long time ago and my memory is not so good.
