Matt IIRC recommended a Meguiar's product for Kobol's haze and scratches. So, I picked up some of their Scratch X fine scratch and swirl remover. So, anybody remember if this is the right stuff?

I compared my 44-02 with a 44-01 last night and I liked the 01 better. It was definitely more aggressive sounding, and I've begun to rethink my opinion of my amp. The guy who owns the 01 wants to trade basses along with an amp and a POD. I think I'm going to do it.

Another bonus about this particular 44-01 is that it's a bit lighter. Since I'm an out-of-shape wuss, this is a good thing.

It will be a helluva lot easier than finding 3TB suits...those things are custom.

Nothing wrong w/ the '01s. Maybe they're "your" sound? Go for it, if it's a fair trade.

Johnny - makes ALOT of sense.....like the "subtle marketing" approach as well.....

I guess I have ALOT to catch up on....we'll see how far I get - a BEAUTIFUL day in Chicago and I need some fresh air prior to being couped up for 4-5 months!!!

Yeah I know but I tend to stick to Skylines playing out because...

A. You should see the dive punk places I play and
B. Most of the people into the music I play (file under Ramones) don't spend tons on gear and being a Lakland endorser I like to play and show off stuff that might make more sales for Lakland. Some of the other bands might like the bass but would run away from that hefty of a price tag. A Skyline is more suited for their budgets.

Wow, my first post in the new thread. Only a few days old and already on page 21! You guys are serious!

Still digging the Dunn, but I'm ready to put some flats on it. I can't decide if I want to go with TI Jazz Flats or Chromes. Not really considering any other at this point. The Chromes are much cheaper, so it kinda makes me want to go that route. What do you nuts think?

I have to say, the Dunn has really grown on me, but when I pickup my DJ it just feels like me. I think I love and appreciate the DJ and DJ5 even more now that the Dunn is here. I don't think I could ever become a true P-bass guy. But hey, I am trying!

Unlike having two "serious" girlfriends or wifes at the same time (JUST ASK THEM!!!) you CAN have mutiple basses you like the same.....maybe you are a DJ man at heart but the P has its place...and I just proved it again in Church today....sat in the mix perfectly!!! and the P-J config made dialing in different sounds easy.....

need to play some others now, they are starting to feel neglected!!!
