Nice - The DS'd Monster looks great...my only problem is, and I'm positive that you will agree...the Hollowbody looks out of place...do me and your future Pics a favor and throw it on the Brown Van and send it North

You like this?
did you say Korea? I'med
You know, P basses just look SO classy!!!
interrresting... why mm shape though, it looks like an anorexic stingray
on another note, the 55-01 is probably the best Lakland bass for modding: least expensive, with pups and curcuit that encourages some to desire more, also wide pickup holes
so I'm in Austria (which is a very nice place to be actually), currently in Linz, and just made a 3hr. footwalk to look around. Found a music store with a dozen basses. No Laklands there.
It was for the first time that I tried F****r Standard P5, they had 2 of them. I gave them a try. Well... they say the quality has crucially improved in the past few years - that may be. I won't object. With a tag of 1650, which I thought was a bit too much, there were two basses, not bad ones, indeed. Different weight, different neck feel, they even sound different - one is a P just as one would describe a P-bass, another a bit crispier on the high end, just like I personally would like better. The B strings were good, better than many basses (save for Laklands). The intonation was nowhere near perfect, the relief differed on the two basses, action was, obviously, also different, there was a fret buzz at the 3rd fret of the B string, and a sharp edge.
Now, just a minute, the price was in Euro, which makes it... roughly $2300. Nein danke!!! I can get two Skylines for that and be two Skylines happier.
P.S. ... or a used or a new B-stock US Lakland. A BG5, for a start.
Mint to start off; thinking about pearl white. I'm open to suggestions (with pics would be awesome!).
Drunk w/ anticipation only, not alcohol, hehe.![]()

I need help, BAD!! Oh well, it'll be another excuse for a new family photo, hehehe.

yeh - now that you mention it....it DOES look a little out of place...
