Well there you go Denis!
as for a "B-stock" US BG5 - don't hold your breath...those are too few to even have a "b-stock" yet....

BUT I am going to "brainstorm" with Carl on Saturday.....she may stay a JJ....and then again......maybe not.....
as Greg said....ther has NEVER been an active single coil double single coil CHI bass....YET!
AND - I am picking up an "old friend"....![]()
I thought you would like that....man...reading your quote made me realize how BAD I typed that...maybe me and Jack (Daniels) are too close tonight!!!
PS - if I get the double "supercharged" CHI J...I am going with the MM pick guard...hehehe
It's cool how people differ. I anchor to the covers on both of my basses, and they are FIVERS!
I don't think I've ever reached Doug on his phone after 10 pm Central. I've called him when he's posting and it's gone right to voicemail.
Too high...I like to float my thumb.
So I'm actually (surprisingly) starting to get a little excited about the show we're doing with Papa Roach tomorrow, mainly due to some of the killer Lakies I was seeing on their site. Tobin has a bunch of them!
Just wanted to say that while in NYC for a few gigs, I had to use a rental bass. It was a 62 RI p-bass. Played solo, it sounded good. But wasn't gelling in the mix. Needless to say, I was having Lakland withdraws. Now I'm not one to blindly say that because it's not a Lakland it sucks (though you all would get a kick out of that). I like a variety of basses, Lakland is my favorite though. So, I'm just saying, it was tough.
On the brighter side, my Skyline Decade is en route to my house. It should arrive a day or two after I get home. I will return and report after I spend some time with it.
Cool Matty!
how did you get the gig with Fuel? that is pretty big time!
Doude,
as I said, I find the idea interesting. It is the body VS. pups VS. mm-shaped pickguard that doesn't match to my eye. It is a friendly support to say which looks better and which worse
Gotcha on the knobs! What do you have in your head? Hmm...V/B usually don't go together, so you either up to a V/V, mid, bass/treble config without a passive mode OR a 2-band pre possibly with an active/passive switch...
Now what is it?
I anchor on the pickups or the fretboard (when I want the Brown Notes), and on the lowest strings when I'm picking on the highest ones
Personally...I don't like the stacked knobs on that body shape either. So I'm a "nah" on the guard and the stacked knobs. Now there are two bass flavors together, and it ain't no Reese's!

That isn't two different styles.
We could argue that, but since I turned 38 years of age four hours and seven minutes ago, I'm too old for that shift.
But all this chat's making me pine for a PJ, strangely...
He he he! Wow...you are old!
Happy Birthday! Here's your PJ!
