At the end of the week, the kids play a show at one of the nicer clubs in town and us "old guys" get to get up on stage and play a couple tunes as well.

So here's links to a couple of the songs we did - Cheap Sunglasses and a stripped down, rocked out version of Superstition. For both clips, you're hearing and seeing my 55-01 with Nordy Fat Stacks and 3 band pre running through a Putnam modded VT-Bass out into the house. Stage Rig was a Traynor XS400H through an old Trace Elliot cabinet.

First off...as stated by Markus - there are only 35" scale 55-94s (really)...there are a few rare 34" out there but....they are rare....

as for the sound....it all depends on what you are after...as JJ states in the next post, the early Barts seem to have more high end (at least to my ears) than the newer ones....(what year is the bass you are looking at?)....since the early 2000s or so, the barts seem to have a "darker" tone....

the LH3 on the other hand, is more "punchy" and appear to have more high end (at least to my ears)....

doggonit! those 55-01s sound nicer everytime I hear them!!!

Today was a great day. My first Lakland Arrived. 5502black/maple.

I am totally amazed at how great it sounds.... I was warned that Lakies are contagious and u guys were right...

I never thought Id play anything but Musicman...Not that I dont still love my musicman, but I LOVE my Lakie too..The B is of the hook.

Where do I get a #?
