John Pirruccello, president of Lakland holding the new 55-69 tetsuya.

Capture.jpg

just emailed JP about whether this bass would be available atteh GTG...unfortunately not...the one in the picture has been sent to tetsuya......he said their has been several orders for them so far!

Welp, looks like the HB is gonna go back to the shop for a checkup. Brian sent me over the wiring diagram, and after taking a good long look, I couldn't really find anything out of place on it that would explain my problem with the bridge pickup in single-coil mode.

Guess my 4402 will be happy to be getting the majority of my attention again :)

well....it WILL be in the GREAT hands of Carl!

your 44-02 WILL be happy again.....

Man, that trans-white is gorgeous.

it is very nice....

Couldn't help but share a pic of my new 55-60. Been hunting for a solid J. Sounds killer.

Great looking bass man!

I'm thinking it's the pickup.

I was in shock......check out my "multiposts" I DID ask if you sent it back or what happened to it...I also commented on your new bass....

gonna let you hunt for the post! he he...I am mean. :D

The messages get lost in multiposts!

Well, I'll be dogged. that Doudewave was even longer than I thought...

Yeah, Dan had promised to replace Amber North way over a year ago because of my problems, then forgot about me. I was so p1553d at Lakland that I first played my gigs with some tape over the headstock logo, then retired her when I got my P bass. JP's gone a long way towards making me a happy Lakland owner again. I'm waiting to get the time to give the new one a setup, then I'll take her out on the town.

Yeah, trans white is one of my all time favorite colors. It's really hard to capture in photos. Looks like rich, creamy, white chocolate.... yummy.

Beautiful bass, Bama!!!

I traded my $adowsky Metro MV4 towards my Natural JO. I don't regret the trade at all, but I miss staring at that Metro finish:ninja::p

Hmmm...makes those LE's sound pretty damn good! They are going to look incredible!

Randy Orange does indeed sound like a porn star name.
I think we should start a poll to see if we can get Markus to rename his JO from Orange Crush to Randy!

BTW, was watching a talkshow last night (Rob Brydon's new show for ppl in the UK) which finished with Tom Jones singing a new song.

Bass player in the backround was holding a Lakland!
But it was a bit unusual. I'll describe it and see what you think.

Joe Osborne or Bob Glaub body, I'm not sure. Think it was JO.
USA model.
4 string.
Sonic Blue with a white pearl pickguard (how 90's pop is that?!)
P/J pickup configuration.

It sounded absolutely killer!

Just thought you guys would like to know of a rare Lakland sighting in the wild!
BTW, if you want to see it, the program's at:

Randy Orange ?? What did I miss? ;)

Sounds like a porn star name.
Ha!:D Nah, the original/previous owner of that bass is Randy (username on TB and the LOG: blondmix). It's the prototype for the five-string US Glaub; he bought it unfinished and got it painted that color, so I referred to it as Randy Orange.

I know Dan was under a lot of stress for the last year or so....not surprised that he "forgot".

JP sure is being very responsive......hope this one gets top billing again!

I guess I am keeping up with the 100% quoting of your posts....not 100% intentional but....

Tom Jones???? wow.....that is like my Mom's generation...oh well....I guess if he hires a Lakie player he has to be OK.... (LOL!)

might be...Lakland does special orders for artists frequently...is the color similar to this?
