I think most people in this thread will say go for the 55-02 (that's what I'm saying anyway, I love mine).

However, something to note is that although they have a similar p'up config they are still quite different.
The Musicman will still sound like a Musicman, so you need to decide if that's the sound you want.

IMO the 55-02 is the more versatile of the two, as it is very Musicmannish as well as a great J sound and decent P sound, on top of the 55-02/94 sound which is my favourite.

However, if you can, get to a store and try out both :D

What are you doing in Australia? Shouldn't you be practicing with the Lakers? :hiding:

+1. I wouldn't knock the MM, but it's a different beast.

Here's a demo clip which may help you decide.
