I LOVED the feel and playability of the bass, the sound (especially when I got to turn it up some during the last set of our outdoor wedding gig on Saturday), and man, is it comfortable on.

However, I really didn't like the buzz/hum when my fingers weren't touching the strings--didn't like that at all. I noticed it both indoors Friday night and outdoors on Saturday; it was especially loud on Saturday. I'm hoping that was a product of the wiring of those two venues and not this gorgeous bass...

Hope it is OK to post this here.

Just got home from taking the kids Trick or Treating and I received notification from (John) Gecko5 that I won the PUPS! So awesome, thank you John, everyone at Hanson and LOG!

If the 5501 Chi's are available it is either those or a replacement PUP for my MIM P-Bass. My 5501 is currently stock and my Main Bass.

Soliciting feedback from my fellow TB LOG Members!

I never Win anything so this is so cool!

The other thing I would note besides tone is scale length and string spacing. The L:akies are 35" and 19mm while the SR's are 34" and I believe 34" and 17.5mm. I personally can't play 17.5mm spacing. It is too tight for me.

you can never say "I never Win anything" again....and this was a real great snag!!!

not sure about the CHI5 drop ins.....you may have to put in an order and wait a while....not sure if they have the space issue fixed (the 5 string coils are too long for the shell because of the screw shafts)....
