I started using Circle K strings. They fit thru-body and are awesome. Best feeling strings I've used. They're a balanced set so every string feels the same tension wise. My only gripe is that they're a bit bright for me, hope they warm up nice with some use.

Gordon's got one sweet bass there. But his mind control ray is not working on me. Someone will be very pleased.

The date in the neck joint/heel is 12/9/2002, and the s/n of BG 115 puts it as the final BG made in 2002. I believe I'm the third owner--with the first two being from TB, as well.

I love this bass so far! May I please have a LOG number? Thanks!

1) I like the "through body" as well...

2) yes they do and they are sweet nickles....and YES they do fit through the body! I have nickles on my BG5 PJ and love them!

Hence, with the exception of a couple small avatars, my Lakands have never been posted. The exception being, Markus, who provided great assistance in helping me select the pearl guards. Antique white on the burgundy and bright white on the Dunn. The JO is mint green. They all sport jazz necks. Forgive the lighting, I'll do better next time.

Thank you, guys. Yeah, there's bonus features in the photos!
It's a 5.1 system. Lexicon LX-5 amp, MC-4 pre-amp and RT-20 player, plus a Pioneer 05 blu-ray player hidden behind the JO. Also behind the JO is a Richard Gray's power conditioner. Sonus Faber 'Grand Piano' mains, 'Concertino' rears, and a 'Solo' center channel. Sub woofer is an REL. The black cabinets under the Sgt. Pepper drum head hold the media. They're made by Can-Am and are designed for dvd, video, and cd.

The Pioneer Elite 43" plasma, I may replace shortly with a Sony XBR52hx909. I nearly purchased one Saturday.

What's under each bridge, some sort of mute?

Yes, those are felt strips I cut and placed on each side of a piece of foam. I play mostly with a pick. I used to have all covers on my basses removed and play closer to the bridge (check the live stage shot in my profile) which allowed palm muting. But, in an effort to create a deeper and more versatile tone, I now rest my picking hand on the cover. This places the pick and it's attack about an inch behind the neck.
I do my own set ups, so I'll intonate lastly with the 'mutes' in place since they will sharpen notes a few cents by altering scale length. That said, one wouldnt hear it, but the Peterson 490 picks it up instantly.

Greetings from Germany - I'm here for a year studying. Tis chaos and beurocracy beyond imagining....
But....
Sadly...
This means I'm separated from my beloved Lakland! Aaaargh! It's only been two weeks and I really really miss my Darryl Jones!
Still, it's sleeping nice and cosy in a Hiscox Liteflite case at home. Can't recommend those cases enough, btw - they weigh a ton with the DJ, but I jumped up and down on mine to test it and nothing happened.

I do have a bass with me, btw - it's a Westfield acoustic. It's....meh. Nice sound but the intonation's all over the place and it's dead quiet - really really needs a big ol' amp to get going. Nice neck though.

Anyhoo, just felt I needed to offload some pain with a sympathetic audience...

I WANT MY LAKLAND BACK!
