I haven't heard of them before. They're not sold here, are they?I started using Circle K strings. They fit thru-body and are awesome. Best feeling strings I've used. They're a balanced set so every string feels the same tension wise. My only gripe is that they're a bit bright for me, hope they warm up nice with some use.
You guys will soon have a shot at his BG's older brother (not much older as BG110) very soon...
Natural with Bird's Eye Maple fretboard, Fralins, and white pearloid pickguard in very minty condition...
Stay tuned!
Has anyone experienced getting a custom build from Lakland?
If yes, how was the service? Do they keep you up to date with your build?
I'm just wondering because after paying a 50% deposit, I asked about some of the minor details like what kind of strap buttons I'd like on it.
It's been at least a week and I'm not getting any feedback from Lakland :/
Congrats on your Lakland success!!!
+1 on the Lakland Candy Apple Red color. I love my CAR Jerry Scheff.
Hi, everyone. I had a 55-02 that I played from 2002-2006 but sold because the wider neck hurt my hands and wrists. I've wanted to get another Lakland...and did so last week.
I bought this BG from AndyMan in Ohio (edit: please excuse the bland expanse of rug):

The date in the neck joint/heel is 12/9/2002, and the s/n of BG 115 puts it as the final BG made in 2002. I believe I'm the third owner--with the first two being from TB, as well.
I love this bass so far! May I please have a LOG number? Thanks!
After a couple nights of playing it this way, I really like the feel of the through-body pair, and I think there's more "heft" to the sound of those two, as well.
I notice that Lakland sells nickels. Any thoughts on those on a BG? Will they "fit" through the body? Other ideas?
Thanks!
