She's so nasty!! Her dual Chisonics and LH-3 are perfect for Third Obsession stuff! She'll be used for the 3 song EP that we're currently recording. :bassist:

Well, Traci's sound won out over Sexual Chocolate's in the studio..... poor S.C. :hmm: Traci's "old Barts" sounded so aggressive and well just everything you'd want a bass to be TIMES 10!!!

BTW, has nobody noticed my ultra fancy side dot position markers? They are glow in the dark vinyl stickers... cost me all of 2 bucks on ebay (plus 4 in shipping) for a bag of 50 or so. Hopefully, they'll remedy me getting lost in dim or crappy light situations at gigs. :) They'll be going on all my gigging basses.

My only and first Lakland is a 5501, I love this Bass, so much I have my second Lakland on order and it is the first new bass I have ever purchased!

.....and a NICE one that will be!!!

OOH! You think they'll sell those seperate so those of us who have older ones can upgrade, I was gonna get US barts, good thing I checked this thread.

.....they will....they already have (or soon will have) drop ins for the 44-01....I guess they are having a little more trouble fitting the innerds in the casing for the 5 string versions.

updates will be here: http://www.hansonpickups.com/products.htm (Hanson pickups NOT neccesarily the Lakland site)

LOG P5 :hyper: Did not realize they had drop in chi's for the 5501, now something else to consider. Do they drop in with the existing preamp or is there a recommended preamp with the Chi's?

see above....not yet...hopefully soon....you can use the existing preamp or get the LH3 installed (I am SURE Carl will be happy to do that for you!)

No reserve natural 55-94 on the bay as well. Help some poor Lakland seller out. Bids are low but hopefully theyll go up a bit.

Lord help me!!!

Ahhhh, didn't think to check the Hanson site. I'll have to keep an eye out there. Thanks! :)

4 string version is available now. Bo at Hanson told me 5 string version will be available in fall. They are suppose to be direct drop-ins. SHOULD be compatible with the stock Bartolini pre-amp. I have an email into the guys at Hanson for someone on the LOG site. I will share the info when I hear back.

Wow! Thanks guys! This thing is a player and I absolutely love it! I changed to the basslines pickups about 4 years ago, but kept the old Bart 3 band. The pups gave the bass, IMO, a little edgier sound, which was what I was after, so no looking back for me. I put a little time in on it everyday. I have to agree, there is something about that shoreline gold/ birdseye maple combination...

This arrived from BC. Been waiting a long time for today, and very, very satisfied thus far. Been playing wannabe basses for too long. Probably won't be my last Lakland either. I understand the way things go.

New addition: Skyline Darryl Jones 4

Hey chaps

What pickup is in the modern Bob Glaub 4 string? Im thinking about a 44-64 in Teal. Is it the Neo4, or something else?

Does anyone know how they compare to the Lindy versions and whether the Lakland/Hansen pups have red and black plastic/rubber cable as opposed to cloth?

Cheers!

Neos. To my ears, the Neos have more punch, and more top, but I can get the old school vibe by dimming the tone knob. Yes...Neos have black and red plastic covered wires.
