GregC and I were at Lakland today as I was picking up a bass from Carl (I had some work done and Carl is in teh same building) and we ran into JP and Kevin...some VERY interesting stuff going on over in Lakie Land (New models etc)!

I can't enter laklandowners.com and couldn't do that several days ago. Tried to prolong my membership and couldn't. As I see in this thread noone but me has this issue, hmm...
Also, I got my pal (who'd also brought me my first US Lakie) into Lakland AND he's already gotten his first Lakland, a '99 4-94 with what I understand is a rare feature - not quilted, but flamed maple top. He's liking it and I'm sure he'll love it! (he MIGHT go for the LH-3 instead of the "older" type Barts he's having).
I got him one of the very last LOG t-shirts as a present (meaning this will encourage him... and implying ever more people will see the "L" word, he he he, crafty me!
).

The 55-01's are fantastic basses.
I used to own one, but I sold it and I'm sorry that I did. They are built like tanks - excellent craftsmanship all around. It probably isn't as refined as the US models are, but it sure is hard to tell.
It really is probably the very best deal out there right now on a bass. You can often get them used for about 600 bucks, and a lot of folks upgrade them with Nordstrand fatstacks pickups. But honestly, the Bart electronics sound pretty dang good as it is.
Right now, I own a 55-02 and a 5 string Joe Osborn, but I'm planning on getting another 55-01 just because they are such great instruments.

That 4-94 sounds really cool, I'd love to see it. LOG shirts all over Russia, sweet!
Try using upgrading your Internet Browser tot he latest version. Or Download Google Chrome and use that for the Lakland site.
Other than that, what messages are you receiving when you make your attempt to visit the site?

I will be a Lakland owner (again) soon! I just ordered a new single coil passive decade. It'll be my main bass for non-experimental/non-hard rock stuff, though i'm sure it'll creep in wherever it fits in. Depending on the gig, it'll be going through a BEAUTY of a Reeves 225+115 or a Mesa M9+VPH410. I'm so excited I can barely stand it lol.
