:eek::eek::eek:

wow!!!

how old are you? you look too young in the pictures to have a $5700 bass!

of course, my wife tells me the same thing....only - it is not "too young" it is just WHY? although NONE of mine were that much....

Yeah... I bought it for about $5700 (it was €4000 at the time), but I'm guessing I could get a bit more for it, only a year after I bought it. I'm never selling it, though:hyper:

nice Luke!!!

glad to see you are socially concious!!!

Here's a couple of pics during/after the shaving. I was Friar Tuck for a day, then shaved it all off. I can't find a complete shavedhead at the moment

I've thought about doing something crazy like that but I can never bring myself to do it. "Shirley" has some cosmetic damage from a car fire we survived together 6 years ago, so she is definitely not as 'desirable' to other people as I would think... unless there is a market for relic'd laklands that I'm unaware of :eyebrow:

Besides, she and I have been through so much together, it would be like losing a limb if I ever sold or traded away.

maybe there is...not many relic'd Lakies out there....

I can understand......I had a connection to my first new bass as well (Peavey T40)...should not have sold it but...oh well....

Congrats! I had to google the 55-69 (pardon my ignorance) because i hadn't seen it before.

What's the diff between that and the 55-94 (other than the awesome pink finish)?

differnet piclups, different pre-amp, slightly different body shape and neck profile...really a totally different bass...wish i could paly one to see the difference...

there are US versions, Shoreline version and Skylines (the later 2 are only available overseas!)

nice!!!!

Me & the 4's...

More niceness!!!

If I ever get over there, i'm crashin' at your place:hyper::bassist:

no doubt!!!

Let me be the first to congratulate GregC and the Florida Gators for outplaying my Cougars. It was not to be for me, but I think FL should beat either of Butler/Wisc and get into final four. Good luck, Gators.

Thanks, man! It was a great game, BYU gave the Gators all they could handle. Fredette seemed worn out at the end, or else OT would have been a barn-burner.:)

custom body shape
custom pickguard shape
custom pickups and electronics by ESP Japan
matching headstock covers all the way to the nut unlike normal lakland's
luminous side dots (glow in the dark)
ebony pickup covers (cut from solid piece of ebony wood)
schaller strap locks
all gold hardware

i think i've covered everything i could remember :)

JJ when you post a family pic I reckon include all your basses, I'm really curious to see what you've got, and I recall you saying you had/are getting your 'Ray refin'd.

IMO anyway :p

Awesome! Cause my 'Ray is gonna be crazy cool! My JJ Custom is gonna be pretty sick too, but in a more tame way.

Hello all. A couple days ago I received my very first lakkie. I got a new S44-60 in trans white. I am still playing and deciding if I'm keeping or not, though I can't seem to put it down so it will likely stay. Like the neck alot, finish is very good. Only thing that bugs me is the neck pickup cut out is large compared to bridge. Sometimes I like to drop pick guard and go "nude", but not often. I also don't find the tuners very smooth (when fully tuning up new strings, just fine with normal tweaks) can they be upgraded? With what?

They're Hipshots right? The US Lakland's tuners have an Allen screw for adjusting the tension on the key so you can have it loose or tight feeling. I'd say the Sky tuners have some options as well. I'd call Hipshot or Lakland, they'll help you get em feeling just right.
