The 5502 is perfect since you're doing primarily covers these days. I typically bounce between the 'big 3' sounds on my 4-94 (P, MM, J) depending on my mood or the song. 90% of the time i go for the P-ish type sound, using the J-ish sound for slap, and just the MM pu for more agressive/grindy styff.
But yeah, you wouldn't stray to far from your MM roots now would you?
