Andy:

It REALLY is a "keeper" but Carl Pedigo is making me something to replace it :ninja::hiding: had to raise fundage!!!

Dang. I remember a conversation with him a while back and he had no plans to sell. No matter. I've realised recently that I'm going to be heading toward something fatter for a neck pickup, which probably means adding a 'P' pickup to a 55-02 or 55-01 (or adding an MM to a refinned skyline 55-64), and NOT messing with an expensive 55-94.

Enjoy your new fretless :)

Hold on, don't I remember you saying 'fivers are not for me' or words to that effect ?

Andy

I'm in.

Welcome aboard basslyon - be sure to PM basspraiser for a number if you like.

I just saw some album pics from a wedding I sat in on a couple of songs for (I was a guest, not hired for the band). The lovely couple are the co-lead singers and songwriters for my old latin/rock/jam band Love at the Bodega. I tend to avoid bands that have people who are in relationships in them, but these two were a pleasure to work with and we stayed great friends even after the band fizzled. We played 2 new songs of theirs and "Woman" by John Lennon. I hadn't met his new band before and didn't get to rehearse with them, but everyone playing were pros and we killed it pretty good :D

Anywhoozle, my Lakie's cherryburst is very...cherry here. It was definitely a fun time.

Cool. The 55 series instruments to me work best for live mixes. That MM pickup really gives a good growly presence while the front pup keeps things fat.

NB(finish)D for me!

Just got my Skyline 55-64 back from Pat Wilkins. Stunning job on this.

Here's what it looked like before:

It looks a little more green in person but this is exactly what I was looking for. Bye bye awful tobacco sunburst LOL. Love the look of the grain so much now.

this is very, very good. and mind you, we europeans tend to understate things ;-)

and that is one big surprise! waiting for first pics of that... errrr... mums the word!

on another note, with two custom order/customized basses, I came to understand that 'serial' models are sooooo good...the guys at Lakland know more about my sound tthat I myself think I do

looks like a cool venue

Totally was, very artsy and edgy but still classy enough for a wedding. It's called Beat Street Station and it's in Manayunk

Totally! Nice man!!! Your photos are always great!

Thanks Markus!

Most definitely. I pan towards the front pu typically but still keep the MM in there for definition, usually with the front coil selected.

your lakland looks very, very handsome.

However, in this particular case, it only serves as legal grounds to post this wonderful picture of this unbelievably attractive woman.

;-)

Absolutely! Sally is a beautful girl and a total sweetheart. Was definitely a pleasure being in a band w her :D
