The previous owner had it done, but there is a generous shim on the bass side of the neck pocket to plug the gap. It obviously wasn't a perfect swap, but it was god enough.

Just had a nice talk with Leo regarding my 55-60 . . . he seemed to be asking about the neck . . . maybe it's somewhat warped? If so, he said he'd replace it. I need the bass this Sat and Sun, so I'll be shipping back to them on Monday. He seems like he is definitely "great to deal with." I'll let you know the results . . .

Lakland necks are some of the best (maybe THE BEST - for me anyways....) necks in the world...Keep an eye on the LOG later next week (or so I am told)....

you can get a pre-amp to drop into a 55-60 OR Carl Pedigo makes an LH3 stomp box which is really cool! I played around with the prototype for a few days with my JO5 and it sounded killer!

that may be the "fix" for you!~

but it's worth asking, the box sounds awesome and we all know Carl has a soft heart (oh, I said that before)
anyways, John said they have it planned for later in yr.2012 (hopefully before 12/22)

Just got my Skyline 55-64 back from Pat Wilkins. Stunning job on this.

He didn't mention I couldn't say this so here you go.
He said they were in a "very preliminary" stage on a possible product. It is a redesign from the ground up (BTW what is that?) utilizing the LH-3 curcuit but with a DI. Hence the delay
