Now that is what I'm talking about!!!!

It was made and delivered with Stock Barts as are most US HB's.
The owner was not happy with the Barts and decided to shell out $$$ to have Lakland order up a pair of Darkstars and do the install at the factory.
He said the process took a year and over $800 added onto what he ordered it for new.
Since then it has been a mint played at home bass.
It ships tonight on the big brown truck!!

I know, I know, even got some vinyl dye today to black out the pickguard and control plate on a Hofner violin bass :hiding: (Don't worry, it's an import.)

Why not just have Pat W do a refin? Save some cash for yet another Lakland.

I HAVE to get this Stealth Ray over to the studio to shoot it with the Black Beauties on it...and have ya check out...That thing looks crazy! ( in a good way of course ) :eyebrow:

I dunno? I mean how much would THAT cost?
Sounds pricey to my feeble mind...LOL :)
If it is like $500 or so, would be better just putting that $500 with the proceeds of the Gold scheff to find a different color US Scheff...ya know?
If I dump $500 into painting a skyline Scheff...I would seriously be upside down in it ya know? :rollno:

Wonder how much it would truly cost?
A Ferrari red scheff with all the chrome, matching headstock would look pretty killer!! hmmmmm? :)

Black Bart, yeah I could run with that. No worries on the Stealth Ray, glad it has a good home and yes I want to see pics.

From my experience, I can't always get the exact models that I want, most times they're not even offered as such, so I've become quite adept at DIY. Motto: If you can't find it, mod it!

I would love to find out what Pat W would charge to do a refin on a bass....would be good info to know if not for now, maybe something down the road....

Hehehe, Bart, it's startin' to grow on me. Quick get it off! Get it off!

Not sure how to contact Pat W, but I'm sure Doude or someone here will know.
