I don't think they use those anymore. I think they are black or tweed now.

)Is anyone wondering what will happen if Merf ever plays a Fodera?(for one, a bunch of killer Lakies would flood the market!
)
Wow that stinks...that is like a US Lakland trademark.
The white cases are so cool.
Maybe not the best thing for someone gigging with them.
But for someone collecting them, they look amazing.
My only complaint with the Lakland US Cases is that they really are not all THAT "Fitted"....
I think for the $$$ the US basses command, the cases should be made for that specific model and fit like a glove around the bass inside.

you can turn the gain trim BUT it MAY give you more noise...
this drop is "normal".....
I'm just used to a unity gain in my other basses I guess. No worries. I had my first gig with the 44-02 last night and I'm ready to sell my other basses and get another 44-02. This bass killed with the amp eq FLAT. Its SO comfortable to play. The 44-02 covered every bit the tonal spectrum that I needed just buy using the coil switch and pickup blend knob. If you know anyone who wants a USA Ibanez ATK and a practically new Carvin LB70P, let me know.
They may still make them but I didn't think they did. If they don't and you want one I am going to be unloading the one that came with my US Glaub. I have a Lakland gigbag that I prefer and I hate to keep that case in storage for years.

Ok, so for the second time I took out my Hollowbody to a gig, and for the second time, I was just not feeling it. The Chi's have a tone that cuts differently than any of my other basses. I think the bass is more 'soul' sounding than what we play, so... Looks like I'm gonna have to put it up on the trading block.
Just thought I'd send out the heads up...
Not every Lakkie is for everyone. For instance, I generally like Lakkies, but the HB is one of the ones that don't move me at all. If it doesn't fit and you can't see yourself using it for other projects, there's nothing wrong with flipping it -- especially if it goes to someone who'll get weak in the knees over it.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Playing-wise, the bass kills... the action on the neck, the light weight - heck, it sounds great unplugged. When my band plays Beatles songs, or old 60's stuff, it sings like McCartney or Casady. But that's only 2-3 songs for the whole night...
Somehow I am going to land me a US Lakland with an ebony board!
Sadly doubting any are floating around in the used marketplace...
Might need roll 3 basses to get the cha ching to order a new one.
Wonder if they will make me:
Candy Apple Red
Decade
Matching headstock
Ebony Board
White Pearloid marker dots
White Pearloid pickguard
Active electronics with a bunch of cool dials and switches![]()

Think they can make it to these specs?
How much? $3,500? $3,800?
4 month wait?
I might actually sell 3 basses to fund this bay boy at some point in the not too distant future![]()

yeah I just got my US Hollowbody.
It is loaded with Darkstars.
It is amazing, I have no plan to roll it.
Too rare...and stunning.
BUT, I could not see me ever using it to play the styles of music I like to play.
So it will just chill and be a fun bass to own and have around.
It just does what it does and does it WELL
For sure not versatile.
Hey, would you give me a weeks notice on that sale so I can pick some more up for the Holdsg museum?
You know I kinda felt the same way about my Skyline HB. Great workmanship and feel, but for the type of music we play, only fit for a few songs out of the set. No harm passing it on o someone who needs her more, and I think that HB has been turned once again from the dude I traded it too, that little tramp!

I saw that stunning beauty you scored. Very nice! I love the HB with Dark Stars. Such a huge sound.
Two new pics.
