Gorgeous! Love your playing on the aforementioned records. Your discography is envious... I gotta get to Nashville and start working even more.

They're made w/ 1.65" nutwidth, in between a typical F3nder jazz (1.5) and a P (1.75). I'd get a Lakland DJ, 44-60, or 44-AJ instead.

Yep.
I bought a new Mesa Powerhouse PH410 black grill yesterday at the local mom n pop store.
It JUST arrived a few days before.
They have the matching PH210 there too.
I put that puppy on Hold for a few days.
I think I am going to get that as well to have a stack of sorts.
But you are right Mesa's move some amazing air!
I love these a TON!
and staying "on topic".....I love me some Laklands! :hiding:

Heh. They're Laklands. The question of joining is only WHEN not IF. At least, that was my discovery. And my decision was finalized after only a single afternoon noodling around in the Bass Central showroom playing everything they'd allow me to touch. At the end of the day, this is one of the basses I walked out the door with.

After seeing Matts facelift on the Decade, I am now doing some head scratching.
My U.S. Decade is a one off factory paint that Pat did for Ian Allison when ordered new.
They created this color " Firemist Gold".
I LOVE the color and matching headstock.
SO no plans on changing the paint for sure!
BUT.
I think I want to have an Audere pre amp with the 3 stacked knobs put in mine.
Should sound killer with the Chisonic singles.

Also think I will spring for a Jeannie's White Pearloid pickguard while I am at it.
Need to get my Current Mesa thing all wrapped up and paid for.
Then I think I will get into the spring face lift on the Decade :D

When I recently bought my audere, I wasn't looking for it, but I think they all come with the classic jazz control plate. Now I bet they have one that would fit in the decade control cavity, but that's not what I recall. The LH-3 sounds great with chis and is pretty compact. I know, something else to think about.

Thanks. She gets a touch more play time than most of my others, but I try to spread the love. And, no - the only amber in my extended family is my lovely Lakland. The little ginger modeling with her is Brynlee. And the baby is Rebel, her little brother. Big brother Ashton liked one of my other babies better for having his picture taken that day.

Yep always something to "think" about my friend :ninja:
Just when I get over the Lakland Gas, onto dealing with the Mesa Gas.
Now that is nearly completed.
Time to open another can of worms and consider pimpin out the Decade a bit :D :bassist:

Yep, played mine yesterday... best d@mn 34" B string I've ever felt and heard. Time to quit contemplating trading or selling it, and just pimp it! It'd be nice to have a Jaguar-ish setup: series/parallel switching w/ a 2 band preamp.
