save the Fender and let it grow in value (dunno why they do...when I started playing in the 80s I was told to stay way from 70s Fenders..."they are no good" and I did...shoulda bought one (they were CHEAP in those days!)....would have helped me buy 2-3 Lakies now!)

The 55-60 has actually beaten my vintage Fender as my main bass. Especially now with the Elixir strings it works in every situation. The Fender is my most precious bass, but the Lakland is probably the best purchase I have made in my bass life. What a great instrument![]()
