The problem is, your satisfied for the moment with what you have.. and for a few months you don't look back, you tell all your bandmates that 'this is the one'.. then a few weeks later, your slumming on talkbass classified or ebay cause your bored and then uhhh ohhhh.. something catches your eye/ear and you start to look up details, research and generally obsess over the bass and then bam you've either traded your 'lifelong partner' or added yet another bass to the collection.. 15 years of doing this, I've considered therapy lol
it's a good thing this kinda of habitual behaviour doesn't extend to collecting/trading wives and girlfriends lol![]()

LOL!!
Minus the bandmates. Simply because I am not in one.
No consistent time in my schedule to allow for a band commitment.
Have not sold off any "lifelong partner" basses out of the collection yet.
I have 4 out of 12 I would say are lifers.
The rest?? Who knows
Therapy?
Naw, that costs money bro.
Might take money away from my bass flipping
