When I first saw the new Lakland, I thought it was going to be a Baritone. I was disappointed when I found out it was essentially a Bass VI, but I still kind of think I want one. Can't afford one, but definitely want one.
So I guess you didn't for that "other" one then?

There are maybe 5-6 in the mix, for down the road transactions possibly...maybe?
But for now?
Went with the 2008 LE "other one".
And going with the DPLEII.
who knows what'll happen in coming weeks ahead?

I was blessed to be in a band before touching my first string 23 years ago: 3 newbs and a virtuoso newb who drug us along w/ him---- he was playing Satriani in a few months!
Anyways, the best teacher is a real band, as long as the members love playing together and everyone learns at roughly the same pace... which was crazy fast for me and the insanely talented guitarist! He was always better than the rest of us... even at drums
. I recently got back into playing covers.... Fire by Jimi Hendrix is fun for just bass and drums. It may be too much for the drummer though?

yep.. being that nz is part of the commonwealth, I was exposed to british humour very early on and it's still my preferred style.. helps if your sarcastic too I guess lol.. As far as hitchikers, restaurant is still my fave of the books and I've read them many a time.. so it was either don't panic or suggesting to bring a towel lol

I don't know because they are shipping with a custom set of GHS strings gauged 100-25. AFAIK the thickest baritone strings are around 95-17 and would be sitting loose in the nut. Most standard Bass VI sets are usually 95-25.
I don't really do reviews ( mostly because I haven't had enough exposure, I need more money ) so this is just what it sounds like when I'm playing it. I don't usually mess around with settings too much. Pickups full, always.

All it would take to make it a Baritone is a different nut. This thing is going to kill with 3 P-90s.

I ordered mine in the beginning of Feb. Leo said 4.5 months. There was at least one under way already that wasn't spoken for, a Sonic Blue w/matching headstock, and another due shortly after that no color had been assigned to yet.
