Anyone know if the bass 6 that Lakland is working can be used as a baritone? Markus don't say Fascination Street

So I guess you didn't for that "other" one then?![]()

Have you read the books? This was kinda (one of the) catch all phrases in the book.....really hilarious sarcasm.....
Love douglas adams....maybe I just like his name?
Doug
Exactly. It is pretty much the one aspect of the Decade I don't like. Luckily I got this at a great price so refinishing the headstock was not an issue. I used this as a template for the finished product. This is one that Markus used to own I believe.

I would like to see a Skyline in Shoreline Gold and standard non-blocked neck at some point.
We've done these...
Gimme Some Lovin' - Spencer Davis Group
You Really Got Me - The Kinks
Werewolves of London - Warren Zevon
And we're working on these...
Dead Flowers - Rolling Stones
Dope Nose - Weezer
I'm Eighteen - Alice Cooper
Begin the Begin - R.E.M.
Mony Mony - Billy Idol
What else can we put with these?
. hmmmmmm? Not sure WHAT that "Other one " might be?
There are maybe 5-6 in the mix, for down the road transactions possibly...maybe?
But for now?
Went with the 2008 LE "other one".
And going with the DPLEII.
who knows what'll happen in coming weeks ahead?![]()
I'll say it instead.
Oooor Witchita Lineman, maybe?
When I first saw the new Lakland, I thought it was going to be a Baritone. I was disappointed when I found out it was essentially a Bass VI, but I still kind of think I want one. Can't afford one, but definitely want one.

I don't know because they are shipping with a custom set of GHS strings gauged 100-25. AFAIK the thickest baritone strings are around 95-17 and would be sitting loose in the nut. Most standard Bass VI sets are usually 95-25.
Thanks for the info guys, guess my search continues..
All it would take to make it a Baritone is a different nut. This thing is going to kill with 3 P-90s.

This is a full LH3 pre-Lakland PUP set up. Actually, I have the Barts in one 44-02 and the full LH3 pre-Lakland PUP in the other 44-02 and the 55-02 is deader and darker than the Barts...thats how dramatic the difference is.
