I just got my 55-02 back from a setup at my luthier. He thinks he's going to have to adjust the angle of the neck next time because of how much he had to turn the truss-rod to get the neck nice and playable. :-/ It's an indo Skyline.

The 55's have graphite support as well. As long as it has the room to adjust on the rod then how much you turn it shouldn't matter. He could also throw some washers under the truss nut. That is a classic Fender trick.

Yep, the washers trick is what we discussed. He's afraid we're nearing the end of the adjustment room on the rod.

Brian @ Lakland told me 3-4 weeks for the new DJ4 I just ordered. I think in my mind I'll double that to 6-8 weeks, so I'll be delighted when its only a little late beyond that. That's how I roll.

The DPLEII showed up on the brown truck safe n sound. pheeeew.
Tuned it up and played it through the Mesa rig.
String buzz like a mudda.
Tweaked the truss a little and she is much better already.
Single darkstar has a cool tone.
So far so good.
Bass is pretty hefty!
A good deal heavier than my other Laklands.

TGIF turned out to be a good day!
Got asked to be a judge in a Miss Caribbean Bikini Contest tonight.
22 contestants.
Free drinks all night & Free Hotel room = good time!!
No wonder they call this "Good Friday"...LOL

not married to the basses. Flip them too man times to be married to them. Gotta be able to move and groove in life somehow, might as well be with flipping basses
