Congrats Dan, and the other DPLE11 owners!

That's one blocked neck bass that I do find DEAD SEXY!! Matt's are friggin HOT too!

If any of you decide you wanna let lose of one of them, holler at me..... I'll give the single DS P sound one more try. I may feel totally different about them now that I don't play in a hard rock band anymore.

My cover band plays LOTS of old stuff that my other Ps work well for, so......

And I promise NOT to mod it :D.

Thanks JJ.
Looking forward to checking it out tomorrow when she lands.
For sure will let ya know if she gets put up on the block.
Ya never know.
I have this bass flipping illness...hahaha!!! :help:

Eh, you're not sick bro.... you're searching for new experiences. Some will flip your switches, some won't. I can totally relate cause I'll never stop doing it too, just currently not as actively lol.

A P bass doesn't appeal to me at all when played solo, and since our tastes seem similar, I gotta wonder if you'll dig it.

Reeeeally? wow man, shocker.
A satin or flat black would be cool.
I dislike gloss black pickguards.
They get all swirl marks and old looking right away.

I know, weird. And definitely matte black - all my guitars and basses have matte black guards, no fingernail or pick marks to be found :)

Ok guys....I stand reprimanded.....

It's okay Doug, we still love you man :D

Yea I know.
I am the same way.
But this has a darkstar.
So that was interesting to me.
Time will tell?

Classical reprimand: 'son, git on outside and pick a switch.'

LOG reprimand: 'pick a feather. And which key shall we sing Kumbaya in?'

Your parents played "PICK YOUR SWITCH," too???

Lessons learned. 1) Never pick the tiny switch - it hurts. 2.) Never pick the really big stick - they will use it on you to prove a point.

:p

Are you a classic Beefeater man, or do you prefer the more refined and slightly less accessible taste of the Bombay Sapphire?

Sapphire or Hendricks (cucumber based Gin)....wanted Hendricks but it was very expensive (over $60 a bottle...I do not remember it being that expensive last time I bought it) so went with something more affordable

PS - Dan - WHY do you think there were 3? there WERE but WHY did you think that?

Me too! argh! I have an incoming BUT it is NOT a Lakie....:hiding:

however, the ONLY reason is that Lakland does not make anything like it.....semi-acoustic Rick Turner fretless....been after one for a while and finally found a decent one at a decent price....

gota go to Carl for a set up first though!

BACK on subject (3 posts without a Lakie reference???? NO WAY!)

Going to take a break soon to play my 55-76....cannot wait......that bass needs more play time!

You know what I have been thinking? I was after the blue "hand of God" Scheff a few times (beginning long ago) and FINALLY got it in my hands (loved it BUT the 4 banger was just not me)....went after the 55-76 quite a while ago as well and finally landed this one as well.

the only "other" Lakland that fits this profile (went after HARD more than once but never got) is the DS equip'd BG Greg has now....hmmmm....doubt it...missing the thumb rest....

Doude, trying to keep up with your revolving bass collection is... Well, kinda like trying to keep up with certain other LOGgers' collections, actually...
