Feels rewarding to put a bass back together huh? Closest thing most of us will come to being a luthier like Master Pedigo :-).

I told Carl once that if I win the lottery, I'll come study under him... be his apprentice. Other than performing live, building basses is a real passion I'd like to explore.

+1, did a bit o'surgery on the 44-94 last night - the Delano pickups "woke up" my sleeping beauty. And for that matter really let the LH3 shine.

It's been a long time, but my baby got some action in the studio this weekend! Granted, it was my photo studio, but thought that you guys would appreciate this rough version of something that I'm working on.

And just so you know, the juices are flowing and I'm actually putting a little something together to start playing again. It's been WAY too long!

Matt Call's Burgundy Mist JO is on ebay right now and closing in about a half an hour. The bid is only $1500 right now! The Gold JO I traded for the Charcoal Grey Chi JO went on Ebay a few days ago for $1700... I am buying a Sea Foam Green Glaub this weekend so I can't buy it, but someone could get an unreal deal on that bass right now!!!

The one that was on sale here for forever? Then recently sold?

Also, I think I'm getting a decade body built as I mentioned a bit ago..probably surf green like my HB/Markus's new bass

I'd like to have an idea of what my ideal Lakie would be like.

If possible (:-)) :

44-94 body,

Shoreline gold with matching or black headstock,with long shaft tuners

Single coil Chi sonics (like in the 44 60) in the standard jazz bass position( like ben kenney's bass)+ 44-94 classic pickguard in white (again like ben kenney's bass)

Passive--> 3 knobs, black fluted like the skyline decade.

sweet!!! And yea man, pretty sure we're on the same track...email sent to Leo, I'll be placing an order for a body soon.

I think I'll actually get a new body for the new shortie neck...and keep the matching headstock united with the firemist gold body, and new chis.

I wanna get the headstock of the shortie finished to match whatever the body is, but I'm not sure if they'll charge me $400 for that? :confused: I could just send it to Pat and have him do it...but ...I don't know. I'd prefer to just do all the business through Lakland and have it arrive as I would like it to without any weird maneuvering.

Yes! Those clear knobs look awesome. They help point attention to those awesome pups!
