I don't know him personally, but based on his posts on this forum I am concerned that Marcus may not be gloomy enough to play Cure covers.
Yeah...I can do them, but I giggle inside.

I dunno, I heard that his tongue's like poison, so swollen it fills up your mouth.
I have a TATTOO based around a Cure song... well, and the Stray Cats!

Haha... the next lyric in this song is almost too disturbing to post here. The Cure is one of my all time favorite bands, but I tend to prefer their more bubblgum songs. "Love Cats" is an all time favorite.
Don't you pretty much have a tattoo for everything?
Ah...I like the darker stuff believe it or not.

I agree. Disintegration is easily my favorite album closely followed by Pornography.
LOL! I'm kind scared to ever put that one up...I keep picturing the front door opening at Walmart during Christmas Eve sales and people being trampled![]()

The Cure is one of the great underated bands of all time.
Yeah, we'll have to work on that, no school girl antics in gloom man![]()
Yea there would be guys on that one like flies on fresh _ _ _ _![]()
To me Pornography was the culmination of the trilogy that started with Three Imaginary Boys then Seventeen Seconds. Now where did I put those import cassettes?
Pornography was actually a beginning of the trilogy...Pornography, Disintegration, Bloodflowers
I just like the songwriting a bit more on Disintegration. Last Dance is a near perfect song.
Here ya go: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/new-pawn-shop-bass-vi-947469/Thanks! I don't know about the strings...I'll try and find out. Shoot me that thread!

As far as gauges go, naturally the heavier they are, the "bassier" they sound (not that less bassy is necessarily a bad thing). But the Fenders can only accomodate strings up to a certain gauge. I imagine the Decade V1 has limits, too, it's just a matter of physics with the bridge and the nut.
As for string type, some of the Bass VI vets seem to prefer LaBella flats.

Do you happen to know what strings are on it, including the gauges? I've been reading the thread on the new Fender Bass VI, and there's a lot of discussion about gauges and how they affect the tone.
